Next week, from the 21st to the 26th of November we will be hosting a series of events for our ambassadors to celebrate the success of the programme since its launch two years ago.

Since the launch, nearly 800 people have earned the title of Eryri Ambassador by completing a series of modules that offer high quality training to anyone who wishes to learn more about what makes Eryri exceptional.

Next week the events have been organised as a special thank you to our ambassadors for their commitment to sharing our collective messages. We are also offering a limited number of spaces to the general public as a taste of what the scheme has to offer. The week’s events include talks by National Park Officers, tree planting, an evening learning about our dark skies, wildlife and mindfulness walks.

The Eryri Ambassador scheme is constantly being updated and we are looking forward to launching new modules next year including a module on the Carneddau in co-operation with the Carneddau Landscape Partnership.

Catrin Glyn, Yr Wyddfa’s Partnership Officer said:

“We are so proud of all the hard work and dedication from our ambassadors to complete the Eryri Ambassador programme.

The aim is for the scheme’s information to be shared widely, encouraging a fuller understanding of the entire area, that’s why we are encouraging our ambassadors to complete the refresher module for reaccreditation as Gold Ambassadors 2023. We also hope that next week’s schedule will encourage even more to sign up to the programme.”

Ends.
