- Setting out slate selection.
- Specification of fence.
- Excavation
- Setting the slates
- Types of wire/knots
- Tools for fencing
- Backfilling and packing
- Reaffirmation of skills and knowledge

Attendees are required to bring lunch, drink and warm clothes, suitable work boots preferably with steel toe caps, waterproof clothing.
We will provide: Tea, coffee, cake, gloves, welfare and hand washing facilities, all materials for the course and work books.
