Plas Tan y Bwlch is the National Park Centre, it is an ideal location for conferences, events, seminars, weddings, celebrations, courses and meetings.
Oakeley Room
Named after one of Plas’ previous owners, William Oakeley, this is Plas’ main room. As well as the lay-outs below, this room can also be set for your specific purpose including official functions. The Oakeley Room is next to the Library with an adjoining door between both rooms which can be useful for workshops, if needed.
Tudor Lounge
Although this room is usually used as a lounge for the residents of Plas Tan y Bwlch, it can be hired. It is suitable for small or fringe meetings, discussion sessions, small receptions and wedding services.
Library
This was the Oakeley family’s Library, looking out over the Dwyryd River and Maentwrog. Any layout can be set for your meeting and the room is also suitable to serve a buffet.
Theatre
The Theatre is located in the Stables and is ideal for conferences and formal presentations. In addition to the following resources, there is also air conditioning and variable lighting here. The room can sit 80 people.
Computer Room
There are 10 PC’s in this room and all are connected to the internet. There is a large table in the centre of the room which is perfect for completing research work or group work. The room is ideal for breakout sessions or fringe meetings.
Fieldwork Room
This is a large room containing laboratory tables, washing sinks, exhibition space, screen and blackboard. There is also equipment for ecological, geological and geographical field work.
